The Calling
Purple Lily exists for her
There is a woman who knows God is real. She prays, she believes, she shows up, and yet something underneath the surface stays restless. She has built a life that looks full from the outside. But in the quiet moments, she knows something is missing. Not more success. Not more productivity. More of Him.
She knows she was made for more. She just hasn’t found the courage or the clarity to step into it yet.
Purple Lily exists for her.
This is a safe place for women who believe in God but aren’t fully living in Him, to heal from what they’ve been carrying, to grow into who they were always called to be, to discover the purpose God planted in them before they were born, and to find each other along the way.
We do that through retreats in the mountains of Panama, through community gatherings in Panama City, and through resources that meet you wherever you are in the journey.
You don’t have to have it together to belong here. You just have to be willing to take one more step toward Him.
The Brand Story
I didn’t choose the name. It found me.
I didn’t choose this name. It found me, or more honestly, it was given to me.
For weeks I had been searching. I was praying about what to call this ministry, exploring dozens of names, looking for the one that would finally feel right. Some were close. None were complete. So I did what I probably should have done first. I stopped trying to figure it out and asked God to show me.
The first sign came on a walk in Panama City. I had been sitting with names for days when I turned a corner and there it was, a purple lily growing right in front of me. I didn’t manufacture that moment. I just noticed it.
The second came at the airport. My flight was delayed, so I walked to a small Italian restaurant nearby for lunch. Halfway through my meal I looked down at the decoration on my table. A purple lily. I looked around the restaurant, every other table had pink flowers. Every single one, except mine. And then I noticed something tucked into the corner of the restaurant: a Bible. In an Italian restaurant. It felt less like coincidence and more like punctuation.
The third came on the first morning of my prayer retreat in Boquete. I had traveled there specifically to seek God’s direction for this ministry. I walked into a Sunday morning church service and when I looked at the stage, here is how it was decorated: a purple cloth draped across the cross, and a bouquet of lilies placed at the front of the stage.
Purple on the cross. Lilies at the front. On the first morning of a retreat I had taken specifically to ask God what to call this ministry.
By that point I had stopped looking. The name had already been given.
And then, as if one more confirmation was needed, I found my retreat venue. After a difficult start to my time in Boquete, I was redirected to a property called the Coffee Estate Inn. Run by a Christian woman who loves hosting retreats. With lily of the valley and purple flowers growing throughout the grounds. I didn’t plan any of it. None of it was my idea.
That is the story of Purple Lily. Not a brand I built from strategy, but a name I was given, confirmed in the streets of Panama City, in a restaurant at an airport, in a church in the mountains, and in a garden full of flowers I didn’t plant.
Purple means royalty. In scripture it is the color of the Proverbs 31 woman, of Lydia who built the first church in Europe with her business, of the robe placed on Jesus at the cross, mockingly by soldiers who didn’t realize they were declaring the truth: He was the King.
Lily means Christ. In Song of Solomon 2:1, He describes Himself as the lily of the valleys, not a flower on a mountaintop, but one that blooms low, in the hidden and hard places, in the exact valley where you find yourself right now.
Together they mean this: you are more royal than you know, and the King is already present in the very place you thought disqualified you.
That is what Purple Lily exists to say. And that is why I couldn’t have chosen a better name, because I didn’t choose it at all.

The Founder’s Story
The woman behind Purple Lily
Our founder brings 18 years of professional experience in Human Resources and Learning and Development at a regional leadership level.
She is a Canadian woman who has made Panama her home, and this ministry was born in the valleys and mountains of this beautiful country.
Our founder grew up in the church, both of her parents in ministry, faith woven into the fabric of her earliest years. And yet like many women, she found herself drifting in her twenties. Life got busy, success became the measure of everything, and God slowly moved from the center to the background.
She was professionally accomplished. By every external measure, life looked full. But underneath the surface something was missing, and she spent years looking for it in the wrong places, never quite finding what she was searching for.
She never stopped believing in God. She simply stopped living in relationship with Him.
Then, in a profound moment of grace, she felt Him calling her back. Not with condemnation, but with the kind of love that makes you wonder how you ever walked away. She was reminded of the Father’s infinite care for her, that He had never stopped watching, and that He had plans and purpose for her life that her wandering had never cancelled.
Everything changed. She began attending church, reading scripture, and building an active prayer life. What followed was a peace and a sense of fulfillment she had spent years searching for and never found anywhere else.
And then came the calling, quiet at first, then undeniable. To take everything she had built professionally and lay it at His feet. To use her teaching and facilitation gifts to serve other women who are standing at the same threshold she once stood at: believing in God, but not yet fully living in Him. Successful on the outside, restless on the inside. Ready for more.
Purple Lily is her answer to that call.

- We believe the Holy Spirit is active, present, and at work in the lives of women today.
Purple Lily welcomes Christian women of all denominations and backgrounds. What unites us is not a church affiliation but a shared desire to know God more fully and live more completely in Him.
